Ettex has a free tier, a per-app option and a Pro plan, plus optional extra storage. This page explains what you get without paying, what changes when the trial ends, and where to manage the card and receipts.
The 14-day trial
When you first sign in, Ettex starts a 14-day trial of Pro. It requires no card and nothing to cancel — after fourteen days the account simply drops to the free tier. A banner in the app shows how many days are left.
What happens when the trial ends
- Free apps stay available exactly as before.
- Paid apps become read-only until you buy them individually or move to Pro.
- Your documents are untouched. Ettex is local-first: your work is stored on your device, so nothing is deleted or locked away when a plan changes.
Buy a single app or move to Pro
- Open Settings → Payment & subscription. The badge at the top shows whether you are on Free or Pro.
- Press Upgrade to Pro to take the whole suite, or open the store to buy individual apps if you only need one or two.
- Complete the payment. Access is applied to your account immediately.
Buying app by app makes sense when your work lives in one or two products; a suite is cheaper as soon as you need several. Current prices for each app and for the bundles are on the pricing page.
Payment method and receipts
- Open Settings → Payment & subscription.
- The card on file is shown with its brand, last four digits and expiry date — press Update to replace it.
- Billing history lists every charge with its date, description and amount.
- Press the download icon on a row to open the receipt, then save it as PDF for your records.
Extra storage
Files, backups and attachments share one storage quota. Settings shows how much you have used and how much is left; extra space is sold in blocks that you can add without changing your plan.
Because Ettex is local-first, storage is about what syncs between devices and what lives in the cloud — documents you keep on one machine do not disappear when the quota is reached.
What stays free
Three apps are free permanently and are not part of the trial: Documents, Notes and Calendar. They keep working after the trial ends, on the free tier, with no card involved. Everything else is either bought individually or included in Pro.
Teams and who pays
Access is inherited from the account that owns the team: members see the products the owner has, so you buy an app for the team once instead of per person. Billing is managed by the owner, and the same page shows the workspace currency used across CRM, Books and Invoices.
Common questions
- Do I need a card to try Pro? No. The 14-day trial starts on first sign-in and expires by itself.
- What happens to documents in paid apps after the trial? They stay on your device and remain readable; editing needs the app to be bought or Pro.
- Can I switch from per-app to Pro later? Yes — the store shows the suite price alongside individual apps.
Cancelling
Cancelling stops future charges and returns the account to the free tier at the end of the paid period. Export anything you want to keep outside Ettex first — Export is in the document menu, and open formats such as DOCX, PDF and CSV are always available.
