Sites is where your web pages live: marketing pages, one-page campaigns and online stores. Every site gets a free subdomain and HTTPS the moment it is published, so there is nothing to set up before you can share a link.
Pick a starting point
Press New site and choose one of four:
- Blank site — an empty canvas in the builder, for when you know what you want.
- From template — a ready-made design you then customise.
- Online store — products, cart and checkout, with a shop admin behind it.
- Landing page — a one-page campaign with a form, the fastest thing to get live.
The quick path: landing or store
- Choose Landing page or Online store.
- Enter a subdomain — this becomes the address, so keep it short.
- Add a site name. It is used as the page title; leaving it empty falls back to the subdomain.
- Press Create. The site is published straight away and you get the live URL, plus a mailbox at support@<your-subdomain> for the form submissions.
A store starts with two sample products so the cart and checkout work immediately — edit or replace them in Shop settings.
Build the page
The builder has the canvas in the middle, the block library on the left and the properties of whatever you select on the right.
- Add sections by clicking a block to append it, or by dragging it onto the canvas where you want it.
- Layers lists everything on the page — drag to reorder, hide, or lock a layer.
- Pages are managed in the same panel: add a page, name it, give it a path.
- Theme controls fonts, colours, spacing and buttons for the whole site, so the design stays consistent.
- Breakpoints let you check and adjust how the page behaves on smaller screens.
- Undo and redo are where you expect them — ⌘Z and ⌘⇧Z.
Work is saved as you go; the header shows Saved rather than asking you to press anything.
Preview before publishing
- Press Preview for a full-screen view of the current page without the builder around it, and Exit to come back.
- Need someone else's eyes? Copy preview link gives a shareable link to the unpublished state.
- When it looks right, press Publish. The dropdown next to it holds the publish options and the version list, so you can see what was last published and when.
After publishing
Back in Sites, each site card shows whether it is Published, its subdomain and that SSL is active. From the card you can open the live site, jump into the builder, or open its management area:
- Analytics — visitors, page views and leads over the last 30 days.
- Mail — the mailbox that receives form submissions.
- Settings — SEO defaults, indexing, redirects, cookie banner, custom code and domains.
- Deploys — the publishing history for the site.
- Developers — for working with the site's code directly.
- Manage shop — products, orders, customers, discounts and inventory, on stores.
Settings changes take effect on the next publish, so publish once after changing them.
Limits and the next step
Your plan sets how many sites you can have; the Sites screen shows how many are used. When the site is ready for its real address, connect a domain you own — the site keeps everything it has, it just answers on your own name.
