Ettex PDF handles the two things most people need from a PDF: filling one in and signing it. You can start from a ready-made template — an NDA, an offer letter, a lease, an invoice — or upload a PDF you already have. Everything is stored on your device first, so a half-finished contract never sits on a server you did not choose.
Start from a template
Open PDF from the app launcher. The Templates section is the default view and lists every form Ettex ships with, grouped into Legal, HR, Finance, Business and Real estate.
- Open PDF and stay on Templates, or press Browse templates in the welcome card.
- Narrow the list with the category chips (Legal, HR, Finance, Business, Real estate), or type in the header search box.
- Click a template to open it. The left panel holds the fields, the right side shows the document as it will print, and the percentage next to Fill the fields tracks how much is left.
- Fill in the fields. Values you type appear in the preview immediately; anything still empty shows as a highlighted placeholder with the field name.
- Press Save in the header at any point — the document is kept as a draft you can come back to.
The six templates you use most often are also pinned under Quick start in the left rail, so you can jump straight into a new NDA or invoice.
Fill a PDF you already have
If the form came from somebody else, upload it instead of rebuilding it.
- In the left rail, click Upload PDF (Fill and sign an existing PDF).
- Pick the .pdf file from your computer. Ettex saves it as one of your documents and opens it right away.
- Use the header actions — Share, Send for signature or Download — on the uploaded file exactly as on a template.
Sign it
Signing is a single click; Ettex signs in your account name and drops the signature onto the signature line of the document.
- Scroll to the Signature box at the bottom of the fill panel.
- Click the Sign as … button — it carries your account name. The signature appears both in the box and on the signature line of the preview, next to the date.
- Changed your mind? Press the × next to the signature to remove it and sign again later.
- Press Download. Ettex opens a print-ready view of the finished document — choose Save as PDF in the print dialog to keep the file.
Download asks you to sign first. If you see “Please sign the document first”, the Signature box is still empty.
Send it to the other party
When somebody else has to sign, hand the document over to Sign instead of emailing a file back and forth.
- Press Send for signature in the header.
- Type the recipient's email address, or leave the field empty to sign it yourself only. You are always the first signer.
- Confirm. Ettex creates the request in Sign and shows a toast with an Open shortcut to it.
- In Sign, the document sits under Awaiting others until the recipient signs. From there you can resend the request, copy the signing link, send a reminder or cancel it.
Once every signer has signed, the document moves to Completed and the full signature list is locked.
Find a document later
- All documents — everything you have filled or uploaded.
- Drafts — documents that are not signed yet.
- Signed — documents you have already signed.
- Favorites — anything you starred, shared with the favorites list in the rest of Ettex.
Each list supports search, grouping by date and sorting, and the row menu gives you rename, duplicate, share, move, export and delete. Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on Mac) anywhere in PDF to jump between these sections or start a new document without leaving the keyboard.
