Storage is the one place that shows every file you have, wherever it was made. A document written in Write, a budget from Sheets, a deck from Show, a filled PDF, an uploaded image — they all appear in the same list, and opening one takes you to the app it belongs to.

Narrow the list by type

The left rail is a set of type filters, each with a live count, so you can see at a glance how much of everything you have.

  • All files — everything Storage knows about.
  • Favorites — the files you starred, anywhere in Ettex.
  • Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Images, PDFs, Uploads — one filter per file family.
  • Shared with me — files other people gave you access to.

Filter, group and sort

Above the list is the same toolbar you get in Write: Filters, Group by, Sort and the view switch.

  1. Open Filters and pick an update date (Today, 7 days, 30 days), a source product, or a size band (< 1 MB, 1–10 MB, > 10 MB).
  2. Each choice you make appears as a chip under the toolbar — remove one with its × or drop them all with Clear all.
  3. Use Group by to split the list by file type, by the product a file came from, or by date.
  4. Switch between List, Grid and Large views — Large is the one to use when you are looking for an image.

Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on Mac) to search files or jump straight to a filter or view without touching the toolbar.

Add files

  1. Press Upload in the welcome card and pick one or more files, or
  2. Drag files from your desktop onto the list — a “Drop files to upload” overlay confirms the list is ready to receive them.

Uploaded files are stored on your device, so they are available offline and count towards the device storage shown in the usage ring.

Act on a single file

Hover a row and the frequent actions appear inline: star it, share it, download it. The ⋯ menu holds the rest — open, rename, make a copy, copy link, details and delete.

Deleting shows an Undo action in the toast, so a mis-click costs one click to reverse.

Download behaves differently depending on where the file lives. Uploads and images are stored locally and download straight away. A document that lives in an app has no local copy, so Ettex opens it in that app, where you can export it in the format you need.

Images open as a gallery

Clicking an image opens it in the lightbox instead of a new tab. Use ← and → to move through the other images in the current list and Esc to close.

Keep an eye on space

On All files, the overview above the list breaks your storage down by file type — a card per type with its size and count, plus a donut of the total. Below it, the usage ring shows how much of your plan you have used; Manage storage takes you to Settings. Files too large to keep in the browser are listed separately as local-only, so you always know what exists on this device but not in sync.

Favorites work everywhere

Starring a file in Storage and starring it inside its own app are the same action — one Favorites list across Ettex. That makes the Favorites filter the fastest route back to the handful of files you touch every day.
